Construction Project Timeline Template
Permits to handover as a classic Gantt with sequential trade phases.

Construction schedules are for owners, lenders and clients who want to know when the building is finished and what has to happen first. Site teams already live in their scheduling software; this template is the version you take to the monthly owner meeting.
A classic Gantt is the right shape here because construction is genuinely sequential. Foundation cannot start before site prep finishes, framing waits on the pour, and inspections gate everything downstream. Bars laid against a calendar show both duration and dependency at a glance, and a long permit bar at the front makes it clear where the risk actually sits.
Dates work the way you would expect: each phase is a start and an end in the task table beside the slide, and the chart re-renders as you edit. When the inspector reschedules, push the two affected phases out and everything reads correctly again — no redrawing rectangles. Group tasks by trade or by building if you are running more than one structure. Export the slide as PNG, PDF or PPTX for the progress pack, or share a link so the client always sees the current version rather than last month's PDF.
