When you are running several related projects, the individual plans stop being useful for steering. What a programme board needs is one page showing all of them on the same axis. This template is for a programme manager or PMO lead preparing that view.
A portfolio rollup collapses each project to its phases and stacks them, so contention becomes visible: two projects hitting integration testing in the same fortnight, or a dependency that finishes after the project depending on it starts. That is the whole point of the view — you are looking for clashes, not tracking tasks.
You can build this manually today by grouping tasks by project name in one timeline, which is what the preview below does. Tymepath also has a Programs feature that pulls multiple projects into a live rollup automatically — that is part of the Pro tier, so it is worth being upfront about it. Either way the update loop is the same: dates live in editable tables, the slide redraws when they change, and the export is a native PPTX slide rather than a screenshot. Share a link if the board prefers a live view between meetings.
